As modular scaffold towers can be assembled up to 12 metres and may require two or more working platforms, Selflock access ladders allow for easy movement from one level to another.  

Light Maintenance, Renovations, or Electrical Work

Quite often, light maintenance or electrical work is only done by one person and scaffolding may be required to reach higher elevations. The benefits of using Selflock access ladders with the scaffold tower is that even if a single person operates the scaffolding and work needs to be carried out over multiple platforms, the ladders can be easily moved from one level to another without having to rely on a third party for assistance.  

Small Building Projects

When it comes to small construction projects, not only is scaffolding required to provide safe working platforms but it also allows workmen to gain access to varying heights. Hook on boards should have a trap door so that the various scaffolding levels can be safely navigated with Selflock access ladders that are strategically hooked on the inside of the tower. Should access to the working platforms be needed by more than one person, Selflock access ladders can be placed at multiple entryways.

As much as diagonal braces and tie bars are needed to give scaffolding its structural integrity, it is not ideal and extremely hazardous to use them to climb the scaffold tower. Selflock access ladders are the safest way to gain access to higher scaffold levels.
