Concrete Structures and Formwork Options

With time constraints playing a big part in the construction of many buildings today, it is necessary to have pre-prepared concrete structures at hand to help the process. All the various sizes and shapes of these structures are created by formwork moulds. For this part of the construction process, Disc-O-Scaff – with its decade of experience – can be the answer to your requirements in terms of concrete formwork moulds.

Disc-O-Scaff prefers to create the moulds for concrete formwork out of flat steel plate rather than other methods such as timber, plywood, or plastics. Here are the various flat steel-plate moulds Disc-O-Scaff uses to create the different concrete structures with formwork, as most often required by construction projects:

Economy-form panels. These panels can create concrete formwork moulds in various sizes ranging from 75 to 600 mm wide and from 900 to 3000 mm long – ideal for single-slab walls and bridge-building.
Filler panels. These 200-mm wide panels fill in the gaps between slabs and come in a wide range of lengths (900 to 3000 mm) and weights (4,8 – 15,8 kg).
Flex-form panels. These 2-mm thick flexible panels are ideal for the construction of curved walls.
External corner angle (ECA). These come in a multitude of lengths and join panels at a 90° angle.
Economy-panel column boxes. These are used to construct square and rectangular columns with the use of panels, corner angles, wedge sets, and push-pull props.
Circular column boxes. In a similar way to panel boxes, these are used to construct circular columns and can be made in various sizes and diameters.
Decking panel (folded). These 2,5-mm flat-plate folded decking panels create a flat surface when concrete is poured over them.
Deck filler. These are created to fill the gaps where the decking panels are unable to fully meet. They come in various lengths and widths (825 x 250/300 mm to 1219 x 250/300 mm) and weights (3,9 to 7,5 kg).
